My Moms’ Mix

My Moms’ Mix is an interview and music show where my moms and I explore their lives through music. Every show explores a different time in each of their lives and demonstrates decades of musical exploration. From late 70s jams from artists like the Bee Gees to more current bops from artists such as Lil Nas X, we explore what music can mean for an individual’s life. Each episode is a mix of songs curated by both or one of my moms and a conversation about what significance a particular song had for them.

My Unraveling (And How My Cat Put Me Back Together)

When I was growing up, I was known as the smart kid. The kid who got A’s in nearly every class. The kid who aced tests without studying. Sure, I’ve had my fair share of detentions for missed assignments, but I was always able to catch up before the end of the semester. I was like a crocheted blanket. Sure I had some skipped stitches and missteps, but overall, I […]

Find Your Drive

Coming into college I had no idea what I wanted to do, I bounced around a bit but more and more I kept finding that I was unable to find something that really inspired me.   For you math majors out their I’ll break my sophomore year down in terms you may understand better:  (Aimlessness + Freedom) - (going to class / not studying) x depression binge watching shows and […]

Recently I’ve found they may have been correct. In the summer before my freshman year I had multiple groups that I regularly hung out with. Some were more of a shut in introverted type, one that consisted of party animals, and […]
